Entry #7: Fresh

Fresh" is a documentary that makes you think about the food we eat and where it comes from. It's all about understanding how our food choices affect our health, the environment, and the farmers who grow our food. The film wants to teach us about the industrial food system and why we need to change it. It's like an eye opener, showing us how our food is produced and the impact it has on animals, the environment, and our own well-being. It wants us to think about supporting local farmers and sustainable food options. One thing that stood out to me was how factory farming is different from small scale farming. Factory farming is all about mass production, but it often leads to poor conditions for animals and harm to the environment. On the other hand, small scale farming focuses on sustainability and treating animals better. Watching the film made me realize that our choices as consumers really matter. We can make a difference by supporting local farmers and choosing sustainable options. It's all about being aware and making informed decisions about what we eat. I think "Fresh" is a powerful documentary that makes you think about the food we eat. It's important because it shows us the need for a more sustainable and ethical food system. We shouldn't ignore the issues surrounding our food. Instead, we should learn and take action to make a positive change. As for whether it's better for Americans not to know about these issues, I don't think so. Knowledge is power, When we know about the problems, we can make better choices and push for change. It might take some effort, but caring about where our food comes from is important for our well being and the planet.
